‘Paratrooper’ Cufflinks

The prototype for this model is the emblem of Airborne troops developed and introduced in the Airborne forces in 1955. In the centre of a round shaped silver-fringed cufflink, is an embossed silver image of a parachute with two military transport aircraft. The whole composition is placed inside a wreath of wheat ears with a five-pointed star in the middle. With time, this emblem underwent various alterations, however, the parachute with the two aircraft has always remained the most recognisable symbol of the winged infantry.
