‘Football Player’ Cufflinks

A figure of a football player with a ball is one of the most dynamic and beautiful bas-reliefs in the interior design of Dynamo metro station.  

It is with an amazing accuracy, that the sculptor has rendered the spirit of an attacking footballer in the moment of action. His well-trained arms are thrust upwards and ready to strike. This image created by Yelena Yanson-Manizer was then reproduced in silver by expert jewellers who enlivened the design even further having added a touch of sunlight by using golden enamel.

Noteworthy is the fact, that the prototype for the original “Footballer” bas-relief was Grigory Fedotov, a former captain of CSKA football team. His portrait features have thus been preserved to this day.
