‘Cities of Russia’ Cufflink Collection

The design of these cufflinks takes its cue from a decorative lattice depicting the coats of arms of the sixty largest cities in the Russian Empire. The original lattice is currently displayed in the Armoury Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin. Embellished with inserts depicting the coat of arms of the Russian Empire, the cufflinks are available in two models. The bottom part of the first model displays an engraved image of an old Russian city, while the reverse side of the other model shows the silhouette of Yuri Dolgoruky fighting a serpent. Adorning the cufflinks are lacquer miniatures fashioned in an old Russian technique of painting on papier-mâché by Fedoskino craftsmen, renowned across the world for producing magnificent black lacquer articles.
